The Habitat Tree was first set up in 2008, to encourage people to plant to encourage local birds and animals in their gardens, and to appreciate those we find in our neighbouring bush. The tree originally grew in the western District on the family farm. It was populated by ceramic birds and animals were sculpted by Meredith Plain (more about Meredith).
