Jack is a landscape designer and ceramicist. He grew up in South Africa where he studied ceramics before moving to Melbourne  where he studied horticulture and  started doing his own landscaping work.

He combines his knowledge of plants with his ceramics. Plants inspire Many of Jack’s ceramics. textured, fantastical pottery vessels that he places on stone, timber or steel plinths in the garden. They have ridges, bumps and frills just like the euphorbias, echeverias and haworthias he plants in them.

He often uses succulents, similar to those he grew up with in South Africa, both in his garden and to complement his plants.

Jack has had a couple of exhibitions in the Bolin Bolin Gallery Steel, Stone, Wood and Heat with Tim Read in ., as well as usually being a part if the Christmas exhibition, and we often have a selection of his work
