Tony Barnes makes quality studio pottery. He has made a living as a potter for over thirty years, working from his Moonshine Pottery in Malmsbury, Victoria.
He currently uses a fine porcelaineous stoneware clay decorated with copper red, cobalt blue, rutile and celadon glazes.
All his work is suitable for dishwashers and for cooking
He marks his work with an impressed T in a square with a dot under the elongated right side of the cross bar. In an earlier version, the mark was reversed. Some works are also stamped ‘Moonshine Pottery Malmsbury’ and ‘Handmade in Australia’.
