Cathy Field usually has some of her ceramic works in the alcove in the Bulleen Art and Gaden shop and had an exhibition, “Earth’s Spirit” with Gwen Field in the Bolin Bolin Gallery in June 2024. https://gallery.baag.com.au/event/earths-spirit/

Cathy Field is a Melbourne based Artist, and has been working in the medium of clay for the past 20+ years.
She comes from a background of fine art covering many art media including drawing, painting, photography and printmaking and ceramic’s.
Completing a Bachelor of Fine Art Printmaking @ Victorian College of the Arts in 1997.

Her ceramic creations are predominately artistic functional pieces , with some sculpture.
She is greatly inspired by nature and ‘the feminine’ , which is evident in the artistic expression of her flowing form’s, imagery, colors , patterns and the female form.
Having resided in the greenie, tree filled area of Nillumbik for the past 15 year’s, this has helped to nurture her connection and passion with nature, and the expression of it through her art.

” Being in nature helps us to connect with the spirit within, and all that is. It nurture’s, heals and rejuvenates us , and now, more than ever it is so important. ”

Her creations have been in various group and duo exhibitions over the years, as well as the Pottery Expo . She has sold her work through various galleries, shop’s, markets and festivals .
