These three artists have all approached the theme of nature using their quite different, but complementary art practices.

Sandra Bain

Sandra has been making art for many years, developing and extending her skills and expression. She has mainly worked using mosaics, but sometimes also in ceramics and stone. She  is well known to many Bulleen Art & Garden customers – through a number of gallery exhibitions; mosaic workshops she ran for a number of years and her wonderful mosaic bowls on sale here.

For this exhibition she has once again taken the opportunity to tryi something different.

“My work reveals a connection to nature through my love of birds and the freedom they represent “

Tracy Andrews

Explore Nature’s Beauty in Glass

Get ready for an art exhibition that brings the beauty of nature to life through stunning glass artistry. Local glass artist Tracy Andrews is showcasing a collection inspired by nature’s vibrant colours and delicate forms.

Tracy focuses on the charming Australian Robins and Wrens, capturing their vivid feathers and graceful presence in glass. The pieces also highlight the enchanting beauty of flowers, birds, and leaf patterns, revealing the artist’s passion for nature’s elegance.

With a love for ocean life—like corals, sponges, seaweeds, and fish—Tracy’s artwork captures the complexity of marine ecosystems.

Anne Gellatly

As a retired Art & Ceramics teacher, I have recently returned to painting.

I grew up in the Wimmera and have travelled extensively overseas, occasionally selling artworks for one additional income.

While I have lived in Melbourne for decades, I enjoy exploring plants and the natural environment in my artworks.

My most recent works were inspired by a drive past my childhood home near the Wimmera River, and my local green space, the Urban Reserve Forest in Stonnington, where I do volunteer gardening.

I love using colour and texture in my acrylic paintings and while they’re initially based on observation, I allow my intuition to guide me aesthetically.
